Janeway lesions

Etiology: S. aureus (mostly), S. viridans (anything that can increase IC deposition)

Description: painless, flat erythematous macules 

Locations: palms and soles

Prog: spontaneously heal without scarring

Tx: abx if bacterial endocarditis

Jaundice

Etiology: high levels of bilirubin (numerous causes)
Description: yellowing of tissues

Juvenile Spring Eruption

Define: type of PMLE

At risk: boys + young adult men during early spring

Appearance: small, red, and sometimes itchy papules and vesicles 8-24 hours after exposure to sunlight, especially in cold weather

Location: helix of ears

Sx: itchy, lymphadenopathy

Prog: heals in 2 weeks

Tx: potent topical steroids (clobetasol), emollients, and antihistamines
